#Ebeye an island that hosts a population of about 10k and a U.S. Military base. The island is under the control of the Marshall Islands’ gov and not the U.S.

The base does offer jobs but without tourism, influx in gov spending (Marshall Islands), and private investment the locals are limited. The US gov does issue a working budget to the Marshall Islands. The real question should be why is the Marshall Islands 🇲đź‡â€™ gov ignoring Ebeye?
