#Ebeye an island that hosts a population of about 10k and a U.S. Military base. The island is under the control of the Marshall Islands’ gov and not the U.S.
#Reuters highlights how the base has all the amenities but the island is more of a poverty situation. The base does offer jobs but without tourism, influx in gov spending (Marshall Islands), and private investment the locals are limited. The US gov does issue a working budget to the Marshall Islands. The real question should be why is the Marshall Islands 🇲🇭’ gov ignoring Ebeye?

City of Fort Worth FY2026 budget and tax rate approved

On Sept. 16, Fort Worth City Council approved the Fiscal Year 2026 budget. This year’s budget has been shaped by population growth, with the City’s population now exceeding 1 million people, and by the evolving property tax landscape in Texas.
The approved operating budget is $3.09 billion, an increase of 10.77%, or just over $300 million, from the FY2025 adopted budget.

Do something she can’t do. Monthly board payments for renters and land lords. Renters get a 300.00 discount and land lords get a quarterly 200.00 tax credit on property. Just take it from the international aid budget.
