#Reuters highlights how the base has all the amenities but the island is more of a poverty situation. The base does offer jobs but without tourism, influx in gov spending (Marshall Islands), and private investment the locals are limited. The US gov does issue a working budget to the Marshall Islands. The real question should be why is the Marshall Islands 🇲🇭’ gov ignoring Ebeye?

Vision 2040 sets two "macroeconomic" or overarching goals for the U.S. Virgin Islands. The first is to reach full employment by 2030, which does not mean that everyone has a job; rather, no one is jobless unless they do not want to be employed.
The second macroeconomic goal is to achieve economic stability by 2040. This means that growth and prosperity have taken root, there are no excessive fluctuations in GDP, and prices for goods and services are reasonable, manageable, and stable.

USVI - Quadruple Bypass Road Race
The Virgin Islands Cycling Federation hosts the road race, which gets its name from the four times the Elite cyclists’ group crosses the Christiansted Bypass. Elite cyclists will ride for 60 miles, which is four laps on the course. Experts will ride 45 miles, Sport cyclists traverse 30 miles, and Masters and Juniors levels pedal for 15 miles, which is one lap. All participants must wear helmets.
